Computational Imaging Engineer

Overview
We are looking for a Computational Imaging Engineer who merges optics, mathematics, and software to create imaging systems that go beyond traditional photography. You will build pipelines for image reconstruction, enhancement, and analysis.
Responsibilities
- Develop algorithms for image reconstruction, super-resolution, and noise reduction
- Build real-time image processing pipelines using GPU acceleration
- Design calibration and colour science workflows for multi-camera systems
- Implement feature extraction and analysis for industrial and scientific imaging
- Collaborate with hardware partners on sensor characterisation and data capture
Basic Qualifications
- 3+ years in computational imaging, computer vision, or image processing
- Strong proficiency in Python and C++ for performant image processing
- Deep understanding of Fourier optics, colour science, and sensor physics
- Experience with GPU programming (CUDA, OpenCL, or compute shaders)
- Familiarity with OpenCV, NumPy, and scientific computing libraries
Preferred Qualifications
- Published research in computational imaging or related fields
- Experience with hyperspectral imaging, LiDAR, or structured light
- Background in radiometry and photometry
- Experience building real-time camera pipelines on embedded systems
