Technology Researcher

Overview

We are hiring a Technology Researcher who explores emerging technologies and evaluates their potential for client applications. You will track the technology landscape, conduct feasibility studies, and build prototypes that demonstrate new capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and evaluate emerging technologies across software, AI, hardware, and infrastructure
• Conduct technology feasibility studies and proof-of-concept implementations
• Build prototypes that demonstrate new technological capabilities
• Write technology assessment reports and recommendations for leadership
• Maintain a technology radar that tracks maturity, relevance, and opportunity

Basic Qualifications

• 4+ years in technology research, R&D, or technical architecture
• Broad technical knowledge across software engineering, AI, cloud, and infrastructure
• Strong ability to learn and prototype with new technologies quickly
• Excellent written communication for technology assessment reports
• Experience evaluating technologies against business requirements

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in a corporate research lab or technology scouting role
• Background in open-source software development
• Network within technology startup and venture ecosystem
• Published technology analysis or thought leadership
